Odio's Code
"I've come to realize fear is just something we create ourselves. Once it is conquered, it no longer exists, and it is a thing of the past.
When a prey animal is hunted, they usually retaliate. I like to relate to that when I think of fear.
When the predator hunts the prey, they become unpredictable. Lashing out, in a mad rush all because they have an instinct to survive. It's then the prey becomes feared, because fear has made them strong, and they are willing to kill just to live.
So, conquering your fear is vital for survival. If you live your life in fear, and never control it, your life will never be complete because you will be stuck and too busy fearing rather than living.
However, some things we may not be able to overcome, just because the fear is too heavy, too strong. All we can do is rear up, and challenge the unknown, testing it until we push our limits. It is then the fear can be balanced to a comfortable degree and you can begin living.
Don't live in fear, but remember your boundaries."

He prefers to be known as Odio, which means hatred in Latin. He chose Odio to express the self hatred he has for himself. The self hatred comes from the fact that he knows he is a despicable person, but has no desire to change, and that in itself describes just how much of a twisted person he is.

Appearance
Odio has short, shaggy dark red hair. There are traces of blond and brown, due to him previously dyeing it. He also has congenital heterochromia iridis, which means both of his eyes are two different colors without any side effects. His left eye is light green, while his right is a dark blue.
Odio is usually seen with a very light scruff, and other times with no facial hair at all. This is only when he shaves. His bone structure is young, as he is only 22 years of age.
Odio suffered from malnutrition as a child, and it has thus hindered some of his natural growth. Standing at around 5'8, he has a very thin frame with muscles at his shoulders and abdomen area. He also has a very high metabolism that is borderline unhealthy, which keeps him slim.
Odio has a few scars, but he keeps them hidden. On his upper back, cigarette burn marks are scattered about. Around his upper chest, random scars litter his body. On the left side of his chest, there is a scar carved in the shape of a heart that he inflicted himself.
Clothing
Odio usually doesn't wear any hats or related items, though in colder months he can sometimes be seen wearing a black slouch beanie.
His normal attire consists of a plain t-shirt with a black leather jacket on top. His pants are usually blue jeans that are faded in color and ripped at the knees, and his shoes range from combat boots to converses.

Weapons/Powers
Odio's main weapons consist of duel Beretta M12's.
For melee combat, he uses a combat knife and his fists, as he has had extensive training in hand-to-hand.
He also can control fire when it is derived from a direct source. When he is controlling fire, both of his eyes will shift to an orange color.

Personality
The Positives
Odio is very determined in whatever job he is placed with. He will try his hardest to appease his superiors, even if it means putting himself into dangerous situations for the sake of his leaders.
He is also very faithful and loyal to his friends and lover, if he has one. He will treat them with respect and try to be polite.
Odio will usually always be honest if asked directly, even if it means telling someone something they don't want to hear. He is excellent at keeping secrets, but he won't keep quiet about anything that endangers anyone that he is affiliated with.
Summary
In short, Odio is like a hedgehog. On the outside, he is very anti-social and closed, but once you flip him over(metaphorically) he is soft and cuddly. However, he never loses the grumpy facade.
The Negatives
Odio has a very strong temper that can become uncontrollable if provoked. He is a generally patient person, but if you cross him, prepare for hell.
He also is very sensitive once you establish an important bond with him. He can be a very needy romantic partner, and may catch the unsuspecting person off guard with his persistent desire to feel loved. If ignored, he has a tendency to become vindictive.
Odio likes his privacy and quiet time. If he doesn't know you well, and you aren't his superiors, it may be a bad idea to go bothering him with the intention of annoying him as he may become irritable.
Extra/Other
= He does not allow anyone to touch his upper back, due to experiencing emotional trauma on that part of his body as a child.
= He used to be an alcoholic, but managed to get his habit under control. He still drinks occasionally.
= Always carries a lighter on his person, even though he doesn't smoke. He does this because of his ability to control fire.
History
Odio's life was hell from the beginning. Born into a poor family with an abusive father and a sick mother, the only thing that kept him mostly sane was his younger brother. His mother died shortly after he turned four, and from there, his life only got worse.
His father was a heavy alcoholic who abused both Odio and his younger brother daily. Odio did not go to school, instead, he was forced to stay at home and receive no education. When he got older, he managed to bypass illiteracy and ignorance by visiting a nearby bookstore with his younger brother and learned to read and write there.
When he turned nine, Odio's father became a tyrant to his children. He began to physically beat his oldest son, leaving bruises and marks on his small body. He starved him, and instead kept the food for himself. Odio barely managed to scrape by on scraps that he stole when his father was passed out or away from the house.
When Odio turned ten, his father began to smoke, along with drinking. He became much more sadistic and cruel, and would ask his sons which one wanted to be burned. Of course, Odio would spare his younger brother and would take the abuse every night. His father would force Odio to turn around and would touch him with the end of the cigarette, listening to his son's screams and cries for mercy. However, Odio endured this torture, knowing that at least his brother was safe. This went on for a full year.
When Odio turned eleven, a miracle happened. His father had a heart attack and died. However, the celebration was short lived when he heard of the Orphanage. Knowing they would be taken away and placed there, he quickly left his house with his little brother and they became homeless. Odio realized he would need some way to take care of both of them.
It was there that Odio began to transform into a delinquent. It was small things at first, with innocent reasons. He would steal and pickpocket to get money and buy food for his younger brother. However, it soon became all he knew. By the time he was thirteen, Odio was street trash that was nothing but trouble.
After two more years of being a thief, Odio's life changed for the worst yet again. While he was away stealing, his younger brother had been found and taken to the orphanage. Odio cried for the first time in years at the loss of his only remaining family.
As the months passed of living alone in dark alleyways, Odio began to make friends with other hooligans. By the time he was sixteen, Odio loved to drink and had developed a name for himself. Everyone knew him by different titles, and usually, they weren't good ones. People stopped pitying him, and nobody dared to be seen talking to the teenager for fear that their reputation would be sullied.
Odio was introduced to gang related activities through a close friend he had befriended when he was fifteen. The two ended up becoming initiates in a small organization and doing bigger things than just stealing from people off the streets. For the first time in Odio's life, he felt like he belonged, like he had a family.
Eventually, when Odio was 18, the organization he had joined collapsed. Members went their separate ways and Odio found himself alone again. He had changed a bit-- the young adult had collected an assortment of tattoos and adopted a style. He continued to live his life alone for a few more years.
Now, he finds himself apart of the Salvatici Family, where he happily serves as a Capo. With no intention of ever changing his ways, Odio continues to see what this way of life will bring.
